A recent visit to the Salem Saturday Market
introduced me to '5 Spice Turkey Lettuce Wraps'.
In a word: YUM!
introduced me to '5 Spice Turkey Lettuce Wraps'.
In a word: YUM!
Unable to wait until next Saturday for another bite, I searched
the web and found a recipe for this diet delight. However, disappointment set in when I was unable to actually find
the ever-important 5 Spice. The recipe from the web stated
that it was commonly sold at grocery stores, but I’m thinking that may only be true in New York or Seattle. (Also noted:
I forgot the chicken broth, my oldest son vehemently
opposes red peppers, and I was temporarily herbless.)
Determined, however, I forged ahead and made my
own version of the recipe. We were not disappointed.
Even the leftovers were fabulous.
This recipe made the list of family favorites.
