Giveaway: Lunchbox Love Notes...

My mother is a fabulous grandma AND she makes me a better mom! These cutie lunchbox cards were a gift to me at Christmas and have been a real hit with my boys.

As a child, each cold lunch I toted to school included a handwritten love note from my Mom. I remember carefully opening my napkin to see what message (or funny sticker) was in store for me. This was, of course, horrendously embarrassing in middle school – but I loved it anyway.

As a mommy, I have aspired to this level of greatness – but usually fall a bit short. I faithfully remember the love notes for weeks. Then I go through a dry spell where I forget to include any napkin at all.

These Lunchbox Love cards save the day as they are easy to grab, stash and delight my boys. One side of each card has an encouraging message – the other has an odd fact. This week my five year old had one that said “Be Kind.” The other side said, “Did you know some types of snails can sleep for three years?” It was the snail-part that grabbed his attention, but I'm hoping the kindness-part makes it to his subconscious.

Eventually I’d like to have a Mommy-craft day to make my own supply of fun lunch cards, but for now I’ll just enjoy the ease of these pre-made cards. They come with the same amount of love and besides--- there’s no way I can come up with amazing snail facts all on my own.

The folks who make Lunchbox Love have kindly agreed to give one NW Kid Chaser reader a free set of cards. Leave a comment to this post and I'll enter you in a Feb. 16th drawing to be our lucky winner. I'll contact the winner and have the cards sent directly to your home so that you can commence using these darling mid-day reminders of love. (One entry per email please.)

    Can't wait for the drawing?
